Coach Kwesi Appiah has applied for the vacant Black Stars coaching position.
Ghana’s national team Black Stars have not been with a head coach after Otto Addo resigned from his post right after Ghana’s awful FIFA World Cup experience in Qatar.
The Ghana Football Association announced to the general public who are interested in the vacant role at the Black Stars and apply duly.
According to the former Black Stars Captain and Coach, his CV and application have been sent to the Ghana football Association to apply for the vacant role.
” Yes I have applied for the Black Stars job. I heard no Ghanaian coach had applied for the job since the position became vacant and I decided to apply with the whites you have applied for.”
Otto Addo resigned from his role as the head Coach of the team citing family reasons as the bedrock for his resignation.
Coach Kwesi Appiah has had the chance to have two stints as the head coach of the team having made his first stint from 2012-2014 and 2017-2019 as the second stint respectively. He became the first Ghanaian coach to qualify and coach the Black Stars at the World Cup in 2014.
