Struggling Premier League side, Kotoku Royals have progressed through to the round of 16 of the MTN FA Cup following a 1-0 victory at home over Nzema Kotoko.
The game saw very minimal chances from both clubs but the GPL side secured victory through Selorm Klutsey in the second half over the Division One League side.
Selorm’s goal proved to be the decisive goal in a match that was hard fought rather than distinguished.
Kotoku Royals star boy, Dzikoe Richard was sidelined due to illness. He will be expected to return when they travel to play Asante Kotoko next week in the Premier League.
They are on a run of two wins, one draw and ten defeats as they sit last on the GPL table with just seven points from 13 games.
