Champions Accra Hearts of Oak will continue their title defence against Dreams FC this afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In the Rainbows last four outings, they have tasted one defeat, drawn two and won one against a Dreams FC side that has climbed up the League table following three wins and two draws in their last five outings.
In 2022, they came from behind to beat the Dawu-based club 3-2 in the semi-final during the 2021/22 campaign in Accra before beating Bechem United to win the title in Kumasi.
And on their way to this stage, the Rainbows brushed off Uncle T United in the last round of this year’s edition courtesy of goals from Salifu Ibrahim, Benjamin Yorke and Kwadwo Obeng Junior at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence – Prampram.
Coach Slavko is having only 17 players available for selection today but would be happy to see him clinch victory and progress as they look to defend the title for the third time.
Zakaria Yakubu has returned to the squad following his absence from their last Premier League outfit.
Meanwhile, Isaac Mensah, Gideon Asante and Caleb Amankwaa are on the injury list and will not be in the Rainbows set-up this afternoon.
