Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Linda Mtange has claimed that it will be difficult for the Rainbows to win the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League title.
The 2020/21 league champions will now face a season where their only realistic chance of a trophy is the Premier League following their shocking 1-0 defeat to Dreams FC in the MTN FA Cup round of 32 clash on Sunday.
Following the team’s elimination, Mtange was asked about their chances of winning the Premier League but he claimed that it will be difficult and it will take the players to step up their performance before they can turn things around.
He added that it will take dedication and a strong mentality to help the club to achieve their objective.
“It’s will be difficult for Heats to win the league this season. The only way we can have a chance is for the players to play beyond the level we are doing now. It will take dedication and a strong mentality to help Hearts achieve our objective.
“We cannot end the season without a trophy, so being eliminated from the FA Cup, we must come together and make fans proud by trying to win the league. But it’s not going to be easy.
However, the Congolese midfielder disclosed his target and urged the fans to rally behind the club.
“I want to achieve greatness with the club during my time. We need all the fans behind us to achieve this aim,” Linda told Akoma 87.9FM.
