Accra Hearts of Oak to meet with the agent of midfielder, Salifu Ibrahim for contract extension talks and the player’s possible move to Europe.
The midfielder is reported to have attracted interest from German Club, Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
Media reports have linked the ex-Eleven Wonders starboy to the Bundesliga side following his impressive performance with the GPL giants.
Salifu has become a subject of interest for Leverkusen and has per reports begun talks over a possible transfer to the German club.
The 22-year-old has a year and a half year left on his running contract with the club but the Phobians are desperate to see him renew and work out on his move to the German side.
Hearts is expected to schedule a meeting soon with the player’s agent and the wait to extend his deal should not be very long, as the player looks set for a possible move.
Salifu joined Hearts of Oak in 2021 from Eleven Wonders and has scored 3 league goals in 41 appearances for the FA Cup holders.
He has since grown to become an influential figure for the Rainbows, having emerged as the best player of the 2020/21 GPL season. His strong performances played a crucial impact on the club’s GPL title and the FA Cup triumph.
