Brazilian forward, Matheus Medieros De Souza has joined Ghana Premier League holders, Asante Kotoko for a six month deal with a plus one-year option to extend.
The enterprising left footed forward is expected to boost the striking department in Kotoko’s quest to win the league and the FA Cup title, with goals and assists which are his trademarks.
Matheus becomes the second player to join Porcupine Warriors after Rashid Nortey this window.
He is the third Brazilian to join the Ghanaian giants after successful spells with Michael Vinicius and Fabio Gama.
Matheus is joining the Ghanaian giants on a free transfer after parting ways with South Korean side, Paju Citizen in 2022. He scored two goals in eleven games for the club during the 2021/22 season in the K3 League.
The 26-year-old also played for Moldovan first division side CSF Speranta, Romanian club CSA Steaua and Iguatu-CE in Brazil.
