Medeama secured an important away win over king Faisal to keep their hopes of winning the Ghana Premier league title alive.
The Mauve and Yellow are back on track after Kwadwo Obeng and Hearts inflicted a painful defeat on them at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.
Before facing king Faisal at the Baba Yara in the match day 15 fixture, they have gone two games without picking a points and were poised to cut the defeat syndrome against the Isha Allahu boys.
The early minutes of the game look balanced as both sides possessed the ball in the middle. King Faisal grabbed the first goal through Abdul Latif’s strike before Nurudeen Abdulai drew Medeama on levelled in the 23rd minutes.
In the 27th minute, Vincent Atinga scored from the spot to hand Medeama the lead before half time.
Back from the break, Coach Umar Rabiu of Medeama changed his tactics forcing King Faisal to concede 2 minutes into the second half by Kwasi Donsu to double the lead for the Tarkwa based club. Joseph Gordon of King Faisal pulled one back for his side as the game ended 2-3 in favor of the away team Medeama.
