Asante Kotoko might be facing Dreams FC without three key players.
The defending champions are battling with injuries with the latest being Maxwell Agyemang.
The Porcupine Warriors were on Monday forced to replace Maxwell Agyemang with Andrew Kwadwo Appau for their Premier League matchday 16 clash with Accra Lions after the key defender suffered a knee injury.
During Monday’s game – Justice Blay and Isaac Oppong were among the players who were ruled out due to injuries. However, they still remain on the side with minor issues – while both Dickson Afoakwa and John Tedeku are back to slight training en route to full recovery.
Before the game against Accra Lions, Maxwell Agyemang had suffered a slight injury during Karela United clash but he was declared fit to play against the Lions.
Also, Isaac Oppong is yet to play after missing their previous three games. He climbed from the bench to play 15 minutes against Bibiani Gold Stars on week 13.
Justice Blay was dropped from the team’s set-up to face Accra Lions due to a hamstring injury. He enjoyed full throttle during their 1-0 defeat against Karela United in Anyinaase.
The Ghanaian champions are expected to name their traveling squad on Friday for the game against Dreams FC on Sunday, January 12, 2023.
As they enter week 17, Coach Seydou Zerbo’s team is in high spirits, having defeated Accra Lions 4-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
However, injuries have been their recent problem.
