Coach Slavko Matic has applauded his players following their impressive 3-1 victory against Berekum Chelsea in the BetPawa Premier League matchday 17 clash on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Phobians the didn’t make it easy for themselves, having struggled to score in the first half. They got it with ten minutes to go, and Matic said the better side won.
They snatched the lead through Zakaria Fuseini’s own goal in the late minutes. Benjamin Yorke and Victor Aiddo also netted on Saturday afternoon to ensure the Rainbows returned to winning ways.
The result comes just one week after Hearts fell to a shock 1-0 defeat against RTU in Tamale.
Speaking to StarTimes after the game, Coach Slavko Matic said: “I think we dominated throughout the 90 minutes. Even in the first half we didn’t score a goal but I talked to the players, make few changes and scored three goals. The better side won today. We deserved this win, we dominated and created a lot of opportunities. You can see chances and at the end of the day we won. Congratulations to my players.”
After bagging an important three points, Hearts are back in second place with 28 points – three points behind leaders Aduana Stars, who were held to a goalless draw on Friday with Bechem United.
