Ex-Kotoko and Cameroonian attacker Frank Mbella Thierry Etouga has shared his memorable moment during his duties at Kumasi Asante Kotoko but chooses the time Abdul Ganui lifted the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League trophy as his remarkable moment.
Mbella served Kotoko on a seasonal occasion. He won the GPL title with Kotoko before leaving the club for Egyptian giants Al Masry.
Mbella began his career with Nkufo Academy, an academy owned by Swiss international of African descent Blaise Nkufo, and he scored 61 goals and provided 13 assists in 30 games. He later joined Fortuna de Mfou in 2020.
At Fortuna, he scored eight {8} goals and assisted nine in 21 matches as the club placed third in the Cameroon Elite one League helping the club to a third-place finish. Before he signed with Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in the 2021/ 2022 season and scored 21 goals to win the top scorer Award.
In an interview with ghanasportspage.com, he remarked “so all the time I spent with Kotoko, I had a very good memory at the club especially when Captain Abdul Ganui lifted the Champions trophy [ 2021/2022 GPL trophy]. Yes, that is my best memory”, he told ghanasportspage.com.
Striker Frank Mbella Etouga joined Egyptian top-flight side Al Masry for a permanent transfer deal from Asante Kotoko on September 18th 2022.
Mbella left his mark on Ghana football in his only season during the 2021/2022 campaign when he scored 21 goals in 30 league appearances to help Asante Kotoko win the title.
