Asante Kotoko missed the chance to get back to winning ways in the BetPawa Premier League as they were held to a goalless draw by Nsoatreman FC on Saturday at the Nana Amoah Koramansah II Park.
The Porcupine Warriors wasted several chances and failed to score against a stubborn Nsoatreman FC, who are yet to lose at home since their 1-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak in December last year.
Coach Seydou Zerbo dropped Black Galaxies goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim from his starting XI and brought in Frederick Asare. Mohammed Alhassan also had his first start after joining the league champions in the just-ended transfer window.
Asante Kotoko dominated proceedings but failed to break their away game winless run since their 1-0 victory over Medeama SC in Tarkwa.
The result takes Nsoatreman FC to 9th in the table and leaves Kotoko just four points behind leaders Aduana who face Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
Coach Seydou Zerbo’s side will face Aduana Stars on February 24 in the round of 16 of the MTN FA Cup before their next Premier League game against Bechem United.
