Dabone twin brothers and the owners of Voice FM, Atta Dabone Senior and Atta Dabone Junior have rewarded Aduana Stars an amount of Gh¢10,000 after their historic win over Hearts of Oak in Accra.
During Sunday’s most eye-catching Premier League clash at the Accra Sports Stadium, Aduana Stars were made to pay for their prolificacy as Isaac Mintah scored brace in the second half to earn the maximum points for the league leaders.
The forward broke the deadlock just two minutes after recess and scored again later in the 64th minute to break the heart of the Rainbows in the nation’s capital.
However, the Dabone twin brothers, who showed up at the stadium promised the team before the game.
And they have fulfilled that promise by handing out a cash of ¢10,000 to the Ogya Boys to boost their morale after their formidable performance.
The news was confirmed to Ghanasportspage.com by Dormaa decent and Accra-based sports broadcaster, Justice Colley on Monday.
The team led by the deputy CEO, Baba Aluta and deputy captain, Sam Adams expressed their appreciation to the twin brothers for their good works. “I would like to thank Atta Dabone Senior and Junior for their good works. They’ve been kind to the team. They have given us two hours just to promote our games on their radio station [Voice FM] every week and that is even more than today’s reward. ¢10,000 is huge. We are grateful.”
Baba Aluta once again appealed to Atta Dabone Senior and Junior to offer the team a training facility.
Deputy captain Sam Adams also said, “We have received the money. Many thanks to them for this. We know it will not end here. They will continue to help the the team. May the Lord Almighty replace it in abundance. Many thanks to them. We want to promise that we will also fight hard to win the league.”
Aduana Stars went five points clear after Sunday’s triumph.
They will face Asante Kotoko on Friday in the MTN FA Cup round of 16 clash.
