MTN FA Cup R16: Aduana Stars key man to miss Sunday’s big clash against Asante Kotoko

Aduana Stars have been handed a huge blow ahead of the MTN FA Cup round of 16 clash against Asante Kotoko. The Ogya Boys are set to welcome the GPL Champions to the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa on Sunday.

Coach Paa Kwasi Fabin will be without his key man, Emmanuel Gyamfi once again in the much anticipated game.

The former Asante Kotoko winger is serving a five-match ban following a sporting misconduct against Frederick Asare, the goalkeeper of his former club during their week 10 league clash in Dormaa.

He was suspended by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association earlier this month.

His suspension will expire after Sunday’s game and will be expected to bounce back on week 19 in the BetPawa Premier League.

Gyamfi has won ten MOTM awards in the ongoing campaign and generally being an integral member of the league leaders.

Aduana Stars are in superb form with a 5 point lead on the League standings and are 7 points richer than Asante Kotoko.

Coach Paa Kwasi Fabin has transformed his team’s fortunes since his arrival. He will charge his boys to fight and knock out the Porcupine Warriors as they aim to win double this season.

In other pairings, Real Tamale United will play FC Samartex in Tamale. King Faisal host Division One side Steadfast FC while Nsoatreman FC welcome Debibi United to the Nana Konamansah Park.

In the Southern Zone – Liberty Professionals will travel to Dawu as guests of Dreams FC. Legon Cities slug things out with Division One League side Volta Rangers. Zone Three leaders Heart of Lions are up against Zone Two table toppers Skyy FC while Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs take on Kotoku Royals.

All the games will be played this weekend.
