Accra Great Olympics managed to amass all the maximum points against city-rivals Hearts Of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Ghana Premier league week 19 fixture.
Olympics returned to winning ways after a slim victory over Hearts Of Oak to cut short their winless streak.
Samuel Abbey Ashie-Quaye’s second-half penalty was enough to hand the Dade boys the needed points and also opened a new chapter for newly appointed coach Kobi-Mensah who replaced their former gaffer Yaw Preko.
The Phobians never stopped fighting as coach Matic plotted tactics to cancel Abbey’s goal for Olympics but the defenders of Great Olympics remained resolute and maintained their balance in heart of defense.
The win for the Olympics sends them to 11th position with 26 points on the league log while Hearts is chalked at 6th with 28 points.
Hearts’ next game is against their bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko SC this Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
