Asante Kotoko Administrative Manager, Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi has slammed the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt E.S Okraku for blaming Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko over poor stadium attendance after Sunday’s Super Clash.
The BetPawa Premier League has been hit by poor stadium attendance in recent years with clubs struggling to rake in the needed revenues from gate proceeds to sustain the clubs.
Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are the two biggest clubs in Ghana that are yet to find solutions to the growing challenge of disinterest of the clubs’ games.
The biggest game in the Ghanaian football calendar between the two most glamorous clubs in the country recorded its worst ever patronage over the weekend.
However, the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku has apportioned blame to Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko for the low attendance of fans during the Super Clash on Sunday.
But the Administrative Member of the Ghanaian champions has queried the FA boss on his competence and told him to stop blaming the two big clubs.
“People have simple lost confidence in the league. Stop blaming the two teams for your incompetence. Uphold the sanctity and integrity of the league. Make the league highly competitive and attractive and use the $1m well,” Emmanuel Newton Dasobei reacted on Twitter.
