Hearts of Oak deputy coach, David Ocloo has praised his team’s character after their hard-fought 1-1 draw with Gold Stars at the Dun’s Park.
The Rainbows nearly suffered a goal defeat on Saturday in the BetPawa Premier League matchday 21 clash but they were rescued by Isaac Mensah who ended Gold Stars’ defensive resilience to cancel Evans Owusu’s trademark strike in the dying embers of the game
Asked whether he is happy with the outcome of the game, Ocloo replied: “Yes. We started with a 4-2-3-1 in the first half but we couldn’t contain them in the middle so I had to adjust and change to 4-4-2 diamond in the second half and you could see that we dominated play when we came and my boys were moving well. We had a clear penalty but I don’t want to talk about it. The referee denied us.”
“This is a character of a good team. We went down by a goal but we came back, fought and got a draw. I’m impressed and kudos to the boys,” he said after the game.
