Former Asante Kotoko striker, Francis Andy Kumi has revealed the secret to his goal-scoring potential after joining Kotoku Royals.
The 23-year-old attacker had a poor record with Asante Kotoko and Bechem United but he has become the main man for Kotoku Royals since his arrival. The striker has thrived in the role, scoring 6 times in his last eight games in the Ghana Premier League.
Kumi and the struggling side return to action on Sunday for a Premier League clash with Accra Hearts of Oak, hoping to find the net against the Rainbows.
“My secret is just three things. It’s all about hard-working, determination and prayers. I struggled with Asante Kotoko because of injury. I joined Bechem United but they didn’t give me a playing time. I decided to change and signed for Kotoku Royals. Things are going on well for me now. There’s no other secret to it but it is about hard-working, determination and prayers,” he told Ghanasportspage.com.
Kumi, who joined the Akyem Oda outfit during the last transfer window, scored one goal in his side’s 3-1 victory over Bechem United in their previous game.
He was nominated for the February Player of the Month award in the Ghana Premier League but Accra Lions youngster, Abass Samari Salifu was named as the best player.
