Former Asante Kotoko defender, Awal Mohammed is considering joining the Ghanaian giants for the third time.
The experienced central defender left the Porcupine Warriors in 2018 to join Kuwaiti side Al Fahaheel on a two-year deal.
He was a key member of the team that won the President Cup and the FA Cup in 2017, where he manned the central defense for the Ghanaian giants.
Having joined Kotoko to re-launch his career in 2017, the impressive performance of the former Raja Casablanca attracted offers from foreign clubs.
Awal, 34, currently plays for the Indian club, Sreenidi Deccan.
In an interview with Ghanasportspage.com, Awal discussed his desire to return to the Kumasi-based club after five years.
“So far as I haven’t retired from football ‘never say never’. It can happen.
“Because Kotoko is in my heart and I always choose them ahead of other teams. I can’t predict but let’s see what happens,” Awal told Sir Martin on GSP1’s Sports Chaofan Show.
