Deputy coach for Accra Hearts of Oak, David Ocloo has offered an injury update on captain Gladson Awako, Dennis Korsah, Gideon Asante and Robert Addo Sowah ahead of their game against struggling Kotoku Royals on Sunday.
The Rainbows are yet to confirm their match squad for the upcoming clash but it would be a big boost to have these players back ahead of the fixture that take place before the international break.
It is less clear whether Awako, who missed their last three games will be able to make the squad for the Rainbows.
“We really miss our captain [Awako]. The medical team are working on him. We just pray that he will be recovered soon. Gideon Asante is back to training. Addo is also on the injury list. He is receiving treatment. Korsah is also back doing some light training. I just pray they all get fit for Sunday’s match but we are good to go,” Coach David Ocloo told the club’s Communication Team.
Hearts of Oak host the relegation battling side at the Accra Sports Stadium on week 22 of the BetPawa Premier League, hoping to bounce back after playing out a 1-1 draw with Bibiani Gold Stars.
Currently, the Rainbows rank fourth, while Kotoku Royals rank 18th after 21 games.
