Hearts of Oak trainer, Coach Slavko Matic has returned to his native country, Serbia barely three weeks after he was attacked by the supporters of the club.
The management of the Ghanaian giants are yet to confirm whether the Serbian tactician will continue as their head coach following instructions from the Ghana Police to stay away from the team.
Matic, who replaced Samuel Boadu in October last year has supervised 16 games in the Ghanaian league as head coach since his arrival in Ghana.
In his absence, assistant coach David Ocloo has been in charge of the team in their last three games in the BetPawa Premier League. Matic was absent when the team defeated their bitterest rivals, Asante Kotoko to lift the President Cup on 5th March at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Currently, Hearts of Oak rank fourth on the league table with 34 points after 22 games.
