After scoring against Kotoku Royals to snatch the maximum points for Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday, Caleb Amankwah has attributed his scoring ability to Coach Slavko Matic.
The former WAFA defender recorded his third goal of the season with a last minute header on week 22 of the BetPawa Premier League against the relegation-threatened side.
He scored the only goal of the game in the dying embers, finishing past Frank Boateng with a powerful header.
Without his last minute goal on Sunday against the strugglers, Hearts would’ve been out of the top four. The 25-year-old has scored two winners and one equalizer in the ongoing campaign for the Rainbows.
“Coach Slavko Matic gave us a technique and style to score from set pieces and Salifu Ibrahim and Don Linda Mtange are the takers and I and Konadu Yiadom are the target men.”
“I was determined to score in the game because I had been talking to myself that I would and truly I did,” the defender told Kumasi FM.
