Interim manager for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Abdulai Gazale has announced a 20-man squad for Sunday’s BetPawa Premier League game against RTU.
Having failed to pick victory in their last two games, Kotoko will be hoping to get back to winning ways but tomorrow’s game will almost certainly be a tough game for the league holders.
The Porcupine Warriors squad for the game has now been confirmed, with Rocky Dwamena returning to replace John Tedeku who has been suspended due to yellow card accumulation.
Danlad Ibrahim is also out from the squad. The goalkeeper trained with the team on Saturday morning but he will not be available for tomorrow’s fixture after helping the Black Meteors to qualify for the upcoming U-23 AFCON.
However Justice Blay, Dickson Afoakwa, and Rashid Nortey will not be available for selection as they are still recovering from their respective injuries.
This game will be the reverse fixture for matchday 9 clash which the Porcupine Warriors lost 2-1 in Tamale.
It will also mark Coach Abdul Gazale’s second major test after Seydou Zerbo’s exit.
The Porcupine Warriors go into the match in sixth place, six points behind league-leaders Aduana Stars – although they have played one fewer match than Paa Kwasi Fabin’s side.
