Kotoku Royals striker, Francis Andy Kumi is eyeing a potential return to his former club, Asante Kotoko.
Andy Kumi struggled with the Porcupine Warriors in the previous campaign. He was, however, demoted to squad player due to injuries last season in which Kotoko were crowned champions but he seems to have gained acclaim for his attacking ability. He has already bagged eight goals for Kotoku Royals after joining them in February.
Kumi and the struggling side return to action this afternoon for a Premier League clash with Medeama SC, hoping to increase his tally.
When asked about the prospect of a return to Asante Kotoko, Kumi said: “Why not? They made me who I am today. With my current performance I think it’s Kotoko who made me who I am and I won’t say no to them if they come for me. I will go but my focus is on Kotoku Royals now,” Andy Kumi told Ghanasportspage.com.
Kumi joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2021 from UniStar Academy, he could not cement his position in the team due to injuries.
The 23-year-old scored four goals in 16 games for the Reds.
