Asante Kotoko gaffer, Abdulai Gazale says they will not joke against King Faisal after his side saw off RTU in a 4-0 win to ease back to winning ways.
The Porcupine Warriors will welcome their city rivals to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in an outstanding league match on Wednesday looking to claim back-to-back wins.
King Faisal have left behind the period of terrible form this season. They currently sit in 13th with two straight wins.
As it stands, Kotoko are also up to fifth in the league – 3 points behind league leaders Aduana Stars, who rank first but the chance is there for them to climb into second place on Wednesday and Gazale knows it can be done.
“We are not going to joke with that particular match because whiles you are playing you look at the table. Currently we rank fifth and definitely if we are able to win that particular match we may shoot up to either the second position or the third position,” the young tactician told StarTimes.
The game which was originally scheduled for Sunday, March 12, will kick off at 6:00pm on Wednesday.
This clash promises to be exciting and hotly contested, and both teams will be looking to secure a crucial victory.
