Ghana Premier League giants, Accra Hearts of Oak are in desperate need of an attacker who can solve their striking problems.
Ghanasportspage.com can confirm that the Rainbows have reportedly opened talks with Kotoku Royals attacker, Francis Andy Kumi over a possible transfer at the end the ongoing campaign.
Kumi signed for Kotoku Royals in February from Bechem United and has been in stunning form since his arrival, scoring 9 goals and two assists in 12 GPL outings.
It is said that the 23-year-old striker ‘will take his time and consider all the options’ before he decides where to go next season.
After terminating the contract of Junior Kaaba and selling Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, the Rainbows brought Cameroonian attacker, Albert Diego Dieudonne Eonde to beef up their striking department in a bid to score more goals and subsequently, achieve more this season but they have had a problem converting chances in recent matches.
However, as confirmed to Ghanasportspage.com, the Rainbows have made Andy Kumi a key target as they look to strengthen their striking department before the start of the 2023/24 campaign.
The in-form attacker has been in the Ghana Premier League nearly three years, across stints with Asante Kotoko and Bechem United.
Kumi, who joined the Akyem Oda outfit during the last transfer window, has seemingly improved and is regarded as Kotoku Royals most valuable player.
He has been nominated for the NASCO Player of the Month after bagging four goals in March.
