Former Asante Kotoko striker, Francis Andy Kumi is ready for a new challenge and hopes to continue his playing career at Hearts of Oak if only their offer is good.
As disclosed on Tuesday, the Ghanaian giants have commenced talks to sign the striker in the next transfer window.
Responding to the news, the red-hot Kotoku Royals attacker said: “Accra Hearts of Oak is a big club in Ghana but I don’t want to make any decision now because of where I am. I want to focus on Kotoku Royals. There is more time after the season and I will leave that to my agent [Arthur Legacy] to decide. I will be happy to have that challenge but my focus is on Kotoku Royals for now,” he told Ghanasportspage.com.
He added: “Every player will be ready to face a new challenge. I will be ready to join Hearts of Oak if only the offer is good but if I have to stay at Kotoku Royals I will stay,” Kumi stated.
The 23-year-old attacker had a poor record with Asante Kotoko and Bechem United but he has become the main man for Kotoku Royals since his arrival.
He has been outstanding since joining the Oda-based club in the second half of the season, scoring a total of 9 goals and providing 2 assists, which has made him a joint second-top scorer in the league.
The prolific attacker is among the Kotoku Royals trio nominated for the Nasco Player of the Month award in the BetPawa Premier League, scoring 4 goals in 6 matches throughout March.
