Highly-rated defender, Caleb Amankwah could leave Accra Hearts of Oak for free at the end of the season.
The centre-back’s contract at Hearts of Oak expires in May and now looks more than likely to depart on a free transfer if the club fail to convince him to renew his deal.
Caleb Amankwah joined the Rainbows on a free transfer in the second half of the 2020/21 campaign after leaving Aduana Stars. He has been a key player for the Rainbows since his arrival.
He has made more than 20 appearances for Hearts of Oak this season and has scored four goals in all competitions.
Caleb has enjoyed an outstanding career at Hearts, winning one Premier League title, two FA Cup titles and one President’s Cup title.
The 25-year-old versatile defender registered his first goal of the season against AS Real Bamako. He also struck late to snatch a point in their 1-1 draw with Asante Kotoko in Kumasi before he scored in Hearts of Oak’s 3-2 victory over Tamale City. He also showcased his skill of scoring goals to secure a hard-fought win over Kotoku Royals at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Caleb is considered as one of the best defenders in the BetPawa Premier League. He is known for his scoring abilities and defensive skills.
