Accra Hearts of Oak will return to action this weekend as they welcome Nsoatreman FC to the nation’s capital in the BetPawa Premier League matchday 26.
The Rainbows were held to a goalless draw with Dreams FC on week 25 in Dawu, leaving them fifth on the league log.
Hearts of Oak will be looking for another success over the GPL newcomers after defeating Apam City FC and Accra-based division one league side, Na God FC in friendly during the short-term break.
Both teams will be eyeing a win but the Rainbows are firm favorites as they aim to keep their title hopes alive.
The two teams met back in December at Nsoatre, with Hearts clinching a crucial three points thanks to Kwadwo Obeng Junior’s second half goal.
Hearts of Oak have won two times, drew two and lost one in their last five top-flight fixtures.
They currently sit five points behind leaders Aduana Stars. The team will hope its victories over Apam City and Na God FC will help them climb the league table in an attempt to close the gap.
Hearts will be back in training this afternoon at the Pobiman Sports Complex as they prepare for the game.
The game is scheduled for Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Kick off is at 6:00pm.
