Former Asante Kotoko midfielder, Daniel Nii Adjei has jumped to the defense of Asante Kotoko CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah over recent criticism.
The young football administrator has been at the receiving end of criticism since his appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of the Porcupine Warriors.
But Daniel Nii Adjei feels Nana Yaw Amponsah deserves the maximum respect for his achievement after three years. He also claimed that the critics of the young man are hypocrites.
“Nana Yaw Amponsah has done well, he has won the league and developed Adako Jachie.
“On Adako Jachie, I do not expect anyone to blame him because there are buildings certain people could have developed when they took over. These same people are attacking the current management over the development of Adako Jachie, the hypocrisy is too much,” Daniel Nii Adjei stated in an interview with Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM
Nana Yaw Amponsah was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko SC in August 2020. He has worked with four different coaches, including Maxwell Konadu, Mariano Barreto, Prosper Narteh Ogum, and Seydou Zerbo, since his arrival. The Porcupine Warriors have won one Premier League under his administration.
Kotoko currently sit fifth on the Ghana Premier League table. They will welcome the league leaders Aduana Stars to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
