The 2023 edition of Sariki Salifu Inusah Tampisi I Ramadan Cup concluded on a successful note at the Jamaica Park – Ocloo Nkwata near Odupon Ofaakor in the Central Region.
Tebu FC emerged winners of the tournament after beating Accra Vision FC 2-0 to walk away with a cash prize of Gh¢1,000 with one ball.
The competition, which was aimed at bringing the communities together and nurturing talents commenced on Wednesday, April 26 and ended Saturday, April 22, 2023.
To reach the final stage, Tebu Football Club defeated Balaganor FC 2-0, while Accra Vision FC also shocked Odumase FC to book a place in the final.
Elsewhere, Odumase FC also brushed off Balaganor on penalties to place third. Having played out a 1-1 draw, the game then went into penalty shout-out with Odumase claiming a 2-1 victory over their opponent.
Accra Vision FC received Gh¢500 of prize money and one ball as runners-up.
Odumase and Balaganor who finished as the third and fourth place also went home with Gh¢300 and Gh¢200 respectively plus one ball each.
In all, eighteen teams registered for the tournament organized by Sariki Salifu Inusah Tampisi I, the newly enstooled chief for the Muslims in Ocloo Nkwata and its neighboring communities
Togbi Ocloo Nkwata, Togbi Gavor and other dignitaries were invited to grace the event.
Sariki Salifu Inusah Tampisi I thanked the elders of the area and well wishers for their support for the competition.
