Asante Kotoko caretaker, Abdulai Gazale has revealed what his side must do to defend the BetPawa Premier League title.
The Porcupine Warriors secured a 2-1 comeback win over Aduana Stars on Sunday to ease back to winning ways after losing 3-0 to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.
They currently sit fourth on the league table with 42 points after 27 matches.
Coach Gazale believes the Reds can defend the title if they are able to maintain Sunday’s performance.
Asked whether their title defence ambition is still on course, the young tactician said: “Yes, we are on but we still have about seven matches to go. Let’s see what happens. All those who were at the first four position dropped points so anything can happen. We are now moving to the fourth place and I believe that if we are able to continue this way definitely we are going to get to the top of the table,” Gazale told StarTimes.
Next stop is in Sogakope as Kotoko travel to face relegation-threatened side, Great Olympics in a game that could have the potential to make or break the season.
