“Eric Zeze is a great player” – Asante Kotoko caretaker, Abdulai Gazale admits

Asante Kotoko boosted their hopes of defending the title as they beat league leaders, Aduana Stars to get back to winning ways.

Steven Mukwala had scored to cancel Isaac Mintah’s opener but Eric Zeze’s magnificent strike sealed the maximum points for the Porcupine Warriors.

The Ivorian international provided an energetic display to control the midfield as Kotoko finished the day with victory.

After the game, Coach Gazale admitted in an interview with StarTimes that the stylish midfielder is a great player.

“Zeze is a great player. All what he needs is an encouragement and I think that was what we put before him today. I spoke with him since yesterday about how to get the goals because he cannot continue to be a ‘Zeze’ without scoring and he was able to do it.”

The Porcupine Warriors are back in the top four as they aim to defend the title. With seven matches left to wrap up the season, they will aim to topple the Ogya Boys to win the league.
