The Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium is ready to host the BetPawa Premier League matchday 28 clash between Tamale City and Accra Hearts of Oak today.
This afternoon’s game is an important one at both ends on the league table.
Accra Hearts of Oak will be hoping to get back to winning ways after losing 3-0 to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.
Away from Accra, the Rainbows have managed to win just one of their last seven matches with a loss at RTU, Great Olympics, Karela United, Berekum Chelsea and draws at Gold Stars and Dreams FC. The only victory came against Medeama SC in Tarkwa.
Tamale City have also managed to stay competitive in recent meetings with some teams despite their place on the league table. They’ve lost only two in their last ten games, with four draws and four wins. They are unbeaten in their last three home matches.
Let’s take a look at how Hearts of Oak could line-up for today’s game.
It would not be surprising to see David Ocloo make some alterations ahead of the clash as they look to solidify their place in the Premier League’s top four.
Eric Ofori Antwi is likely to continue in goal. Konadu Yiadom could join Caleb Amankwah, Dennis Korsah and Kwabena Anane in defence.
Elsewhere, Jeordon Otanga is expected to start in midfield after missing their last game through suspension. He will partner Linda Mtange and captain Eric Esso.
Albert Diego Dieudonne is available for selection and we expect him to spearhead attack alongside Obeng Junior and Amankwah Baafi.
