Salifu Ibrahim and Linda Mtange punished wasteful King Faisal with two late goals to snatch a stunning win for Hearts of Oak on Saturday in the BetPawa Premier League.
After a tricky period in the game, Hearts of Oak intensified their attack trying to get back on track after losing their last two games.
They worked hard and finally took the lead in 89th minute through Salifu Ibrahim, who climbed off the bench to replace Gideon Asante.
Linda Mtange also extended the lead just three minutes later to snatch a stunning win for Hearts over the Inshallah Boys.
Credit should be given to Albert Diego Dieudonne for his stellar display in the game. He set up the two goals for Salifu and Mtange.
In Hearts of Oak’s set-up for the clash, Richard Attah was handed a start for the first time this season. Caleb Amankwah, Amankwah Baafi, Robert Addo Sowah and Dennis Korsah began in defence.
Eric Esso partnered Linda Mtenge and Jeordan Otanga in midfield, while Victor Aiddo started up front alongside Victor Aiddo and Gideon Asante. Long-term absentee, Gladson Awako also came off the bench to make brief appearance.
The victory temporarily takes Hearts to 4th, with King Faisal dropping to 12th after week 29.
