Accra Hearts of Oak right-back, Samuel Inkoom has expressed his disappointment after Hearts of Oak’s painful 3-2 defeat to FC Samartex.
It is hard for the ex-Basel defender to accept the result. He feels some decisions from the referee affected his team, and the outcome could have been different if the referee did a good job.
After going behind in the seventh minute, the Accra giants came in strongly to level and snatched the lead during the 42nd minute and the 63rd minute through Gideon Asante and Linda Mtange.
Having humbled King Faisal in Accra, the Phobians seemed on course to secure another win to keep their title hopes alive.
However, the hosts levelled the tie via Emmanuel Keyekeh 80th minute goal before Seidu Yusif’s last-gasp winner.
“I have to say, I am very very disappointed about the referees. We have to make the game beautiful. We want football and Ghana is a football nation. Some of the decisions are not good. To be honest they are uncalled for,” Inkoom stated according to classfmonline.com.
With four games to spare, Accra Hearts of Oak find themselves in fifth place on the league table with 45 points.
They will hope to bounce back when they host Medeama SC in Accra on week 31.
