Former Ghanaian international, Dan Quaye has angrily asked the management of Accra Hearts of to sack their current goalkeeping coaches.
The former Rainbow defender believes they are lacking the requisite quality to propel the team.
Dan Quaye named Eben Dida, James Nanor, Laud Quartey and Sammy Adjei, who both played for the team as the right trainers to work with his former club.
“I am very sad because of our goalkeeping department. We have some experienced goalkeepers like Eben Dida, Sammy Adjei, James Nanor, Laud Quartey and others who can do the job but they will go for unnecessary trainers. Our current trainers are not good enough,” Dan Quaye told Ghanasportspage.com.
He added: “Bringing the likes of Sammy Adjei, Amankwah Mireku, Laryea to the team again will even draw the supporters back to the stadium”
“None of the current goalkeeping coaches at Hearts of Oak can be compared to the four goalkeepers I mentioned. They are the legends of the club. Let’s speak out the truth. They don’t want to see some of us because of the truth but we will keep on saying it. Players came and left and definitely, these players will also leave but we are the products of the club.”
The Rainbows suffered a 5-1 humiliating defeat to Medeama SC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in the 31st week of the BetPawa Premier League.
With three games to spare, the GPL giants find themselves at the seventh position on the league table.
