Georges Mfegue scored twice as Kotoko returned to winning ways in the BetPawa Premier League with a 3-1 victory over Kotoku Royals at the Dawu Park on Monday.
The Cameroonian forward grabbed the opener for the visitors after just eight minutes. Kotoko continued to press and Mfegue grabbed his second in the 28th minute.
The hosts found a way back into the game to reduce the deficit with Dzikoe Richard’s 35th minute strike before halftime.
In the second half, Kotoko returned with a spirited performance as youngster Rocky Dwamena netted in the 48th minute to make it 3-1.
It was an important win for Kotoko after going winless in their last three games. The Porcupine Warriors are up to fourth place with 47 points after claiming the maximum points over the Royals.
