Kotoku Royals skipper, Dzikoe Richard was elated to score his eight Premier League goal against Asante Kotoko at the Dawu Park.
Despite the defeat to the Ghanaian champions, the 22-year-old attacker described his goal as a “dream come true”.
The Porcupine Warriors scored in either half to run over the bottom-placed side 3-1 at the Theatre of Dreams on Monday thanks to Georges Mfegue’s brace and Rocky Dwamena’s strike.
However, an improved performance from Dzikoe saw him reduce the deficit in the 35th minute for the Royals.
Heading into the game on Monday, Dzikoe had managed seven appearances without a goal since scoring against King Faisal.
“I will describe this goal as a dream come true because I was hoping to score against Kotoko or Hearts of Oak. I have scored against other clubs but I have to be happy for scoring against a club like Asante Kotoko and describe it as a dream come true to my fans,” Dzikoe told Ghanasportspage.com.
The striker has attracted interest from Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak.
As reported, the Rainbows are long-term admirers of the player since his time in the Ghana Division One League, where he emerged as the all-time top scorer for the Royals.
