Former Black Stars midfielder, Laryea Kingston has advised the top two Ghanaian clubs, Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko to hire the right technical people and bright management that understands the game.
Laryea insists lack of proper management and game plan has accounted for their abysmal performance.
The Porcupine Warriors and their bitterest rivals became destination for most quality players in Africa but the problem is entirely different now.
Both teams have been poor in the ongoing campaign. They are currently struggling to strengthen their place in the top-four of the BetPawa Premier League.
The former Accra Hearts of Oak player speaking in an interview said the two teams can’t succeed without proper plan.
“Hearts and Asante Kotoko are the two big teams in the country. They should try to do the right things, try to hire the right technical people and bright management that understands the game. They should also have a game plan so that they can build a team to dominate Ghana and then Africa within two-three years. They should have a plan. I don’t think both teams have a plan now. You can’t just get up and say we are going to win the league without having a proper plan and also think about building something,” Laryea told Original FM.
“I can tell you that both teams have not built anything for the past five years. Every season players will go, players will come thinking you will be able to do something, no. They should be able to have a plan for four or five years to be comfortable to play in Ghana and then Africa,” he added.
