Ghana’s top sports Journalist and Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council Member, Frederick Acheampong, has been has been handed a coordinating role in the 2023 AFCON qualifier between Central African Republic and Angola in June.
The GFA Executive Council Member has been appointed by the continent’s football governing body as Pre-Match Ceremony Coordinator in the aforementioned game which has been slated for Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 14:00HRS at Reunification stadium in Douala.
In his role, Frederick Acheampong will be responsible to assist the Match Commissioner, other match officials in planning and running the pre-match ceremonies and its related activities in accordance with the approved regulations of the Confederation of African Football Association (CAF), Africa’s football governing body.
Hosts Central African Republic sit second in Group E with 7 points, 1 point beneath leaders Ghana and 2 points adrift Angola, leaving already eliminated Madagascar bottom of the table with 1 point out of possible 12.
