Ghana Premier League side, Tamale City FC has described the steps of Alhaji Grusah and his club as strategic plan to ignite their hopes of staying in the league.
The club’s Communications Director, Abdul Maxin spoke to Ghanasportspage.com on Thursday morning about the case that has dominated the headlines over the past weeks.
The protest, which was in relation to their GPL Matchday 30 clash on May 6 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium has been dismissed by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
But Alhaji Grusah’s side are planning to appeal the dismissed protest and request for the suspension of their next two games.
“We will appeal and make sure that the rest of our games will be postponed or will be on hold so that the appeal will be decided before the matches will continue.
“We don’t want a situation whereby you play the two games and then the appeal wouldn’t make any significant impact. It only makes sense that we hold on for the two games. We are making plans to make sure that the two games are postponed before the appeal decision will be made,” PRO of King Faisal, Awal Mohammed stated in an interview with Ghanasportspage.com.
After the explosion of this story, the spokesperson for the Northern giants, Abdul Maxin has described the steps of the Kumasi-based club as strategic plan to escape relegation.
He sternly defended his club, denying King Faisal of any wrongdoing and saying that Alhaji Grusah’s side definitely need some points from the board room to be able to survive.
“It is the tail end of the season and they definitely need some points to be able to survive in the Premier League. if they think this is one of the opportunities they can use to get three points then they will surely explore it. This is not going to distract us from concentrating on our two games.
“If they continue doing that and lose their last two games then it’s another problem for them. Is their own motive. I can’t speak for them. They think that the board room points is what is important to them. They can continue with it but we believe that we have a strong defense and it cannot go against us,” he told Ghanasportspage.com.
