First half strike from Solomon Sarfo-Taylor gave Asante Kotoko a 1-0 win over Accra Lions on Saturday evening.
Sarfo-Taylor’s goal came in the 24th minute and helped the Porcupine Warriors to pick the maximum points at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The 24-year-old striker has recorded three goals in the ongoing campaign.
Coach Abdul Gazale made seven changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Karela United at home. There was certainly a renewed energy in the team.
Despite this vital win, the Porcupine Warriors remain 4th on the league the table, while Accra Lions sit tenth with 44 points after 33 games.
Kotoko will wrap up the season at home against Dreams FC on 11th June – the Lions will travel to play Bibiani Gold Stars at the Dun’s Park.
