Real Tamale United shocked Accra Hearts of Oak with a 2-1 comeback win in a Betpawa Premier League clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Rainbows started well and ended the first half with a goal lead through Linda Mtange’s 34th minute strike.
But Manaf Umar scored for the second time against his former side to restore parity in the 46th minute.
Former Ashanti Gold midfielder Eric Esso, who joined the Rainbows before the start of the campaign was sent off in the 70th minute.
However, Steven Dankwa Badu’s goal in the 80th minute turned out to be the winning goal for the visitors but they were also reduced to ten men before the final whistle after Hafiz Abdulai’s stoppage time red card.
Hearts of Oak are 11th in the Premier League standings with 45 points while RTU are in 9th place with 46 points.
The result leaves the Rainbows chasing their first win after a winless run of four successive games.
Their last win came on match-day-29 of the competition against King Faisal.
They will travel to the Golden City Park to wrap up the season with Berekum Chelsea.
