Ghana Premier League giants, Accra Hearts of Oak are still searching for a permanent head coach before the start of the 2023/24 campaign.
However, Prosper Narteh Ogum, who won the Premier League title with Asante Kotoko last season remains as the big favourite for the job.
The ex-Premier League winner emerged as the prime candidate to lead the Rainbows after Slavko Matic’s departure months ago.
He is seen as more tenable than other options and is ready to join the Ghana Premier League giants but a contract is yet to be signed.
Having built reputation for helping Kotoko to win the league, Coach Ogum is expected to be the answer to a struggling Hearts of Oak side, who had one of the most turbulent seasons of their history.
As reported, the former GPL winner will reunite with team’s caretaker David Ocloo and the head coach of relegated Kotoku Royals, John Eduafo if his move does materialised.
Prosper Narteh has been out of club football since parting ways with Asante Kotoko after winning the 2021/22 BetPawa Premier League.
As talks intensified, he is likely to be named as Hearts of Oak trainer in the coming days.
