The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Egyptian referee Mahmoud Nagy Ahmed Nagy Mosa for Ghana’s 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations opener against Congo.
Ghana’s U-23 side, the Black Meteors will host their Congolese counterparts on Sunday, June 25, 2023, and Ahmed Nagy has been handed the officiating role for the Group A fixture.
The experienced FIFA referee will be assisted by fellow countryman Sami Mohamed Abouzid Halhal (Assistant I), Adel Abane from Algeria (Assistant II), and Gamouh Youcef from Algeria who will function as the Fourth Referee. Nigerien international Issaka Adamou is the Match Commissioner.
The Black Meteors will take on Congo in Ghana’s group A opener at the Prince Moulay Sports complex in Rabat on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 16H00.
Mahmoud Nagy Ahmed Nagy Mosa officiated the final of the 2023 edition of the Under-20 Africa Cup between Senegal and the Gambia.
