Former Ghanaian international, Samuel Nzemaba has accused Mr. Ashford Tetteh-Oku for forcing him out of Accra Hearts of Oak in 2012.
The former Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC defender claimed he wasn’t ready to leave the club but the works of the former board member, Tetteh-Oku prevented him from extending his contract, leading to his exit from the club.
In an interview with Ghanasportspage.com, Nzemaba said: “Before my departure, I played almost 29 games out of 30 games that season and I was in talks about a new contract but Ashford Tetteh-Oku, the clubs former board member wanted to give me an offer of his own choice to sign a new deal without negotiating with me.
“After I refused, they put me on transfer despite being a regular player and the captain of the team,” Nzemaba stated.
“They planned to disgrace me but they were destroying the club because how can you sign a regular player for 30,000 cedis and allow him to move on a free transfer just like that. The club will lose at the end of the day.
“Chelsea will not put a player like John Terry on transfer for no reason. It won’t happen anywhere because the club will lose.
“Our top clubs think they are doing us a favor. The board members should change their mindset and think about pure business for the clubs to gain,” he added.
Nzemaba joined the Rainbows in 2009 and left in 2012 to join Medeama SC. He took part of the Medeama’s first appearance in Africa during the 2013/14 CAF Confederations Cup.
The experience defender has previously won the SWAG cup with Kotoko and also helped Hearts to clinch the Top-4.
