The promising granddaughter of James Kwasi Appaiah, Joy Appiah Tawiah has marked the milestone of completing another 365-day trip around the sun, and the former Black Stars head coach counts himself a ”lucky” man to have the pretty girl as part of his family as he extends messages of ennoblement to her on her special day.
Named after the former Ghana captain, Joy Appiah Tawiah, now 5, is the daughter of the astute sports journalist Mr Martin Tawiah and his wife Mrs Mandy Tawiah. Martin Tawiah popularly known as Sir Martin or simply Ktee in the media circles in Ghana, is the Chief Executive Officer of the leading sports media outlet in Ghana, GSP1 Media, who triples as an entrepreneur, a broadcaster and a professional teacher.
The celebration of Joy Appiah Tawiah’s 5th birthday attracted several orisons of blessings from several sections of the media, on social media and various traditional media houses featuring well-wishers whose messages were read during live television broadcasts on various national TV stations. The beautiful young soul has been showered with a pool of blessings from notable persons, among whom are GSP1 Media Editor, Stephen Tetteh, the former Asante Kotoko left back, James Kwasi Appiah among others.
From his residence currently in London, the former Black Stars Manager James Kwasi Appiah wrote in a text: ”To my sweet Angel Joy Appiah Tawiah, I am very lucky to have a granddaughter like you. Although you are not with me now, I want you to know that you will always remain in a special place in my heart. Have a happy special birthday celebration”, said coach James Kwasi Appiah.
Coach Kwasi Appiah channeled his special message to Joy Kwasi Appiah through TV3, Asempa TV/FM which was read out on air as a means of honour to his granddaughter.
Born in Shishi maternity Government hospital in Fujian Province, China, Joy Appiah Tawiah is currently in school studying to pursue the fulfillment of her dream of becoming a prominent figure not only to her family but also to Ghana her motherland.
