Accra Hearts of Oak are actively working hard for the services of Bechem United striker, Hafiz Konkoni ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
It has been confirmed that the Rainbows have approached the Hunters for the signature of the 23-year-old forward but the two clubs are still to find an agreement over a deal to bring the player to Accra.
“They only submitted a bid through email but no agreement has been made. We are still negotiating,” Hafiz told Ghanasportspage.com.
Accra Hearts of Oak remain confident at securing the services of the goal poacher to boost their squad for next season.
Despite Konkoni’s readiness to wear the Rainbow colours, Hearts of Oak will have to intensify talks to make it a done deal.
“There are only two biggest clubs in the country (Kotoko and Hearts of Oak) and as a player too my dream is to play one of them. I’m ever ready to play at anytime if the opportunity prevails itself.”
Konkoni has proven himself in the Premier League, scoring 15 goals in the just-ended season – three goals short of the leading top scorer, Abednego Tetteh.
He is the first local player to be invited to the Black Stars since Coach Chris Hughton took charge of the national team about three months ago.
