Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have paid a befitting tribute to former striker Saddick Adams for his memorable moments he inked in the history books of the club, as the former Athletico Madrid man announced his retirement from the game on Thursday.
At age 33, Adams announced his retirement from football via a post on his official Facebook wall, thanking all clubs, former teammates, coaches and other individuals who have played a major role in the development of his footballing career.
“I will still be in football but this time not as a player …GOODBYE ..ADA99”, Adams stated in the concluding line of his one page long post on Facebook. Following the announcement, Asante Kotoko have taken to twitter to applaud the former Ashanti Gold star for his exploits whiles playing for the Porcupine Warriors, especially during the 2017 MTN FA Cup final at the Alihu Mahama sports stadium in Tamale, where Adams scored a historic hat-trick against Accra Hearts of Oak to help Asante Kotoko win their 9th FA Cup title.
”From your first strike against Great Olympics to the unforgettable hat-trick against Hearts of Oak, we say Thank You for the beautiful memories”, Asante Kotoko stated in a tweet.
Saddick last played as a striker for Bangladesh Premier League club Arambagh KS before finally hanging his boots to say goodbye to the game of football.

In his playing career, Saddick Adams played for about 16 different football clubs both home and abroad, some of which include Ashanti Gold Sporting Club, Berekum Chelsea, Asante Kotoko, Athletico Madrid, Etoile Sportive du Sahel, Vojvodina fc, Saham Club, Al Nahda FC among others.
