Coach Annor Walker has criticised the management of Accra Hearts of Oak for recruiting players in the absence of a head coach.
The 2020/21 Ghanaian champions have been on the lookout for a new coach ever since Slavko Matic left.
Annor Walker, who was rumoured to take over from the Serbian tactician insists the Rainbows should appoint a new coach and allow him to recruit new players.
“You can’t recruit players before appointing a head for a new season. They are not serious,” the veteran tactician told Ghanasportspage.com.
He further played down speculations that he was in talks with the management of the Phobians to become their next coach.
“I never had conversations with Hearts of Oak. Nobody called me. People were saying I can’t do the job but I didn’t want to talk. This is the right time for me to speak out.
“It was Vincent Odotei who sent me a WhatsApp message requesting for my C.V and I did it. I called him after two weeks to check up but he told me they were having a meeting with the players. I didn’t hear from him again but I asked him later and he said they will get back to me. Up till date… My first conversation with Odotei was on 7th June till today.
“There’s no truth about whatever they were saying. I just don’t want to talk. We are all matured and you can’t expose someone. I haven’t written to Hearts that I want a job,” the veteran trainer concluded.
Annor, who parted ways with FC Samartex last week after terminating his contract mutually despite an impressive spell in the Ghanaian top-flight has returned to Accra Great Olympics.
